PSI Delivers Depot Management System to the MVG Märkische Verkehrsgesellschaft GmbH

Berlin, 1 December 2015 – The MVG Märkische Verkehrsgesellschaft GmbH (MVG) has contracted PSI Transcom GmbH with the delivery, implementation and start-up of the PSItraffic/DMS Depot Management System. The system will initially be introduced to the depot in Lüdenscheid and then in two other MVG depots.

With PSItraffic/DMS, MVG will be able to administer their vehicles and to automatically dispatch parking spots, schedule of services and maintenance works. The specific depot processes will be reproduced in modern graphic displays and are flexibly configurable in PSItraffic. With the new system, MVG will be able to better schedule their vehicles, reduce shunting and downtimes and harmonise processes.

The contract also includes equipping the three depots with tracking technology and the approx. 150 vehicles with tracking devices. The basis for this is a wireless location system (WLS). It handles the identification and location of the vehicles by entering or exiting the depot as well as within the depot and in the vehicle maintenance area. The PSItraffic/DMS also provides interfaces to the tank data recording, driver information and to the Intermodal Transport Control System (ITCS).
