Real-time manufacturing data optimizes production utilization

Berlin, 14 December 2017 – The Polish PSI subsidiary PSI Polska Sp. z o.o. was awarded by the Investment Trading Consulting Sp. z o.o. (ITC METAL) with the implementation of the production management system PSIasm. In the future, PSIasm will provide manufacturing data in real time, enabling optimal utilization of production capacity and faster responses to unplanned production outages.

The innovative production management platform PSIasm combines the functions Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Production Process Control (SCADA) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES). PSIasm analyzes all aspects of the production process based on complete and reliable data and thus offers clear advantages in the areas of production planning, operational data management and production control.

The internationally operating ITC METAL was founded in 1989 and manufactures wire and tube products with approx. 300 employees. The company's dynamic growth required more efficient internal communication on current production schedules and order lead times based on a modern production management system.

"To improve efficiency in the most important business areas, after careful consideration of all options available, we chose PSIasm mainly because of PSI's experience in the metalworking industry and innovative features. With the PSI system, we can increase production efficiency and remain competitive," explains Mariusz Czapliński, Production Manager at ITC Metal.

"With PSIasm, ITC Metal can more efficiently manage both its production processes and costs, while maintaining the high quality of its products and services," says Adam Jednoróg, Competence Center Manager for Production Management Systems at PSI Polska.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (energy networks, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
