Berlin, 4 September 2018 – PSI Software AG has been contracted by the Amprion GmbH with the implementation of the Amprion Balancing Systems (ABS) on the basis of the PSIpassage-ACC (Accounting). Thus, PSI supports the transmission system operator in fulfilling its obligations in the framework of the Metering Point Operation Act (Messstellenbetriebsgesetz, MsbG) target model in his market role “TSO“.
In addition to receiving, aggregating and processing measured values from smart metering systems (iMS) for forecasting purposes, the Metering Point Operations Act also provides for the integration of transmission system operators into the market processes for balancing group accounting for electricity. Market locations equipped with smart metering systems will in future be aggregated by the market role "TSO".
The Amprion balancing system is based on PSIpassage-ACC (Accounting), which specializes in balancing, billing and communication processes and is already in use at Amprion for the market roles "balancing coordinator" and "network operator". The ABS project provides for an extensive test phase with market partners prior to the commencement of production.
