PSI presents Depot Management System at IT-Trans 2018

PSItraffic for public transport 4.0: digitalized depot and charging station management

Berlin, 24 January 2018 - From 6 to 8 March 2018, PSI Transcom GmbH will be presenting the innovative depot management system (BMS) PSItraffic for public transport 4.0 at the IT-Trans in Karlsruhe (booth C14, dm-Arena). The focus is on the digitalization of the depot. PSItraffic allows central recording and processing of all operational data for efficient operational management.

Due to its modular structure and open interfaces, PSItraffic can be tailored to project and customer requirements and allows step-by-step system implementation. The system also offers the ability to extend individual functions (modules) according to individual requirements. This also enables smaller companies to integrate a cost-efficient digital depot management solution.

With PSItraffic/BMS, PSI is presenting, as for example with the expansion of a bus fleet by e-buses, the modular charging management function for controlling the charging stations. This development is based on many years of PSI’s experience in the energy sector. All information from the digitalized depot flows centrally into PSItraffic and is available company-wide. For operation, vehicle or personnel deployment the responsible co-workers receive an overview over the entire processes, in order to make the right decisions promptly.

Based on successful project examples, PSI demonstrates how the optimal organization of operation with PSItraffic leads to fewer breakdowns, avoidance of manoeuvring, reduced vehicle reserve and energy savings. This increases the quality of the public transport service as well as customer and employee satisfaction and saves the environment.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (energy networks, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
