PSI Presents New Release 8 of the PSIprins Network Control System

New functions and more security for Electrical and Pipe Networks

Berlin, 29 October 2019 – PSI Software AG is presenting the first version of the new Release 8 of the PSIprins network control system at the CONSULECTRA Symposium Netzleittechnik 2019 from 12 to 13 November 2019. The focal points are on increasing efficiency of the data model entry, opening the system through extended importing and exporting possibilities and the further development of the HEO functions for electrical and pipe networks.

With PSIprins 8, in particular the information functions for the PSIprins/Web and PSIprins/Protex office world have been renewed under the aspect of current security and customer requirements. In addition, existing PSI modules such as the Xchange data exchange tool are connected to PSIprins. The new requirements in the area of HEO functions (higher decision and optimisation functions) and regulatory requirements of the German Federal Network Agency are also taken into account. The coupling with the autopilot for network operation PSIsaso (security assessment and system optimisation) optimally meets the criteria for GLDPM (Generation and Load Data Provision Methodology) and SOGL (System Operation Guideline).

With the takeover of the PSIprins network control system at the beginning of 2019, PSI strategically expanded its control system portfolio. In stages, the two network control technology solutions PSIprins and PSIcontrol will be combined to form a common control system platform. Future customer and market requirements will continue to be implemented in the form of regular release versions directly in PSIprins or in connection with existing PSI solutions. The new Release 8 will be delivered to existing and new customers starting in January 2020.

Based on its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy networks, energy trading, public transport) and industry (mining, metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). PSI was founded in 1969 and employs almost 2,000 persons worldwide.
