CONERGY Selects PSI Warehouse Management System for Central European Warehouse

PSIwms will control the logistics activities for 25,000 square meters

Berlin, 4 September 2007 – PSI has been charged by CONERGY AG, Europe’s solar company with the highest volume of sales, with delivering the warehouse management system PSIwms. As a result of their continuously strong growth, CONERGY is bundling their logistics activities at the Zweibrücken site in Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany, by building an ultra-modern European warehouse and thereby establishing the base for even better customer service.

As of the third quarter 2007, more than 130 employees in Zweibrücken will be coordinating the European-wide logistics for all the Group’s brand and product worlds. With 25,000 square meters, the storage area offers space for an annual turnover of solar modules, power inverters, solar-thermal and heat pump systems. Along with the warehouse management system PSIwms, PSI will provide a forklift control system and the entire radio data transmission including the mobile terminals and the radio network. PSIwms will also handle the communication with CONERGY’s shipping system. The systems employed are intended to increase the storage performance and turnover speed at a double-digit percentage rate.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, heat, oil, water), cross-company production management (steel, mechanical engineering, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs more than 1,000 persons in the group.
