ERP specialist integrates manufacturing execution systems business
Berlin, 12 January 2011 – Effective 1 January 2011, Berlin PSIPENTA Software Systems GmbH took over the manufacturing execution systems (MES) business of the PSI Production GmbH. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of the PSI AG.
With the shareholder resolution of 1 October 2010, the MES business of PSI Production GmbH, with all its employees and current contracts, was integrated into PSIPENTA. The two companies had already successfully completed numerous joint customer projects in the past. With the merger, PSIPENTA provides both small and medium-sized companies as well as large corporations with an extensive offer for the implementation of integrated ERP/MES software solutions.
PSIPENTA is one of the few providers that offer the full range of solutions, including additional software for the optimisation of the production process, from one shop. The company targets in particular the fields of mechanical engineering and the automobile industry and its suppliers and also implements extensive special projects.
PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions, on the basis of its own software products, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (metals, automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, mining, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,400 persons in the group.
