PSI Bundles Transport and Logistics Activities

Berlin, 22 November 2006 – The Berlin PSI will bundle its transport and logistics activities in the future. The transportation logistics segment of PSI Transportation GmbH will be integrated into PSI Logistics GmbH as of 31 December 2006. The existing software systems, Warehouse Management System PSIwms and Transport Management System PSItms, will be merged into a product suite. In addition, the new joint logistics resources management platform PSIglobal will be further developed.

With the Transport Management System PSItms for cross-site logistics planning, it is possible to obtain significant savings in transportation costs. The Warehouse Management System PSIwms develops the optimization potential in the entire warehouse and distribution logistics. The technical convergence of the systems will make it possible to design and optimize processes within logistic networks without any media breaks.

By bundling its logistic activities, PSI will be able to increase its new orders by two million euros in this sector as early as 2007 and to strengthen its export business, especially in Eastern Europe. There, PSI Logistics is already the second-largest provider of logistics software.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, machinery, plant construction, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,046 persons in the group
