Berlin, 14 March 2018 - PSI Mines&Roads GmbH presents the solution PSIroads/MDS for traffic flow optimization at the Intertraffic in Amsterdam (Hall 11, Stand 118) from March 20 to 23, 2018.
PSIroads/MDS (Multi-criteria Decision Support) allows road operators as well as cities and communities to optimize traffic regarding operational and strategic objectives. Possible measures for influencing traffic are evaluated on the basis of the current and expected traffic situation with the proven KI-based solution Qualicision for decision support and optimization from PSI FLS Fuzzy Logik & Neuro Systeme. This multi-criteria approach to traffic control was developed jointly with motorway operators in the Netherlands and England.
Road users can use PSIroads/MDS via the app ZOOF+ of the Dutch partner V-TRON, which, in addition to collective and urban goals, such as environmental protection and congestion reduction, also considers individual travel destinations. If users decide on overarching goals that serve the community, they will be rewarded with a points system similar to Payback.
This digital, innovative approach, for which PSI was awarded the German Mobility Award last year, makes it possible to control traffic in the cities in such a way that congestion is avoided, local pollutants are reduced and traffic is safer overall.
