PSI Presents Service App at the CeBIT 2016

Mobile use of central ERP functions in focus

Berlin, 26 January 2016 – PSI subsidiary PSI Automotive & Industry GmbH (former PSIPENTA) will be presenting from 14 to 18 March 2016 at the CeBIT in Hanover (Hall 5, Stand E16) a service app for complete event handling from recording of the event to delivery of spare parts to invoicing of the service.

The app supports service staff right at the site for the entire handling of the event. Easy-to-use input masks simplify tasks, for example, with a search function, spare parts can be found in real time from the ERP stock list and the correct volume inserted in the customer record. With the support of the app, changes in the system structure as a result of installing, removing or adapting, serial numbers are precisely documented. Measurement values or status information are recorded online and appropriate services directly initiated. Feedback of working hours as well as booking in the customer log and the prompt invoicing is also supported by the app. Service staff and actions are integrated in the business processes completely and in real time.

Web-based hybrid technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 or JavaScript serve as the technological basis of all PSI apps. Accordingly, all of the widely-used mobile platforms are supported and the platform-specific look and feel of the PSI products is maintained.

“The mobile use of central ERP functions will be an important development in the coming years so as to increase latent efficiency potentials. The integrated mobile reproduction of service processes, which nowadays tips the scales in customer bonding, is one example,” says Karl Tröger, Head of Product Management, explaining the backgrounds of the application.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,700 persons worldwide.
