PSI shows AI-based traffic solutions at VDV Conference Electric Buses in Berlin

Emission-free local traffic with E-DMS, load and charge management

Berlin, 21 January 2019 - PSI Transcom GmbH will present the AI-based depot management system PSItraffic/E-DMS at the VDV Conference Electric Buses from 5 to 6 February 2019 in the Berlin Estrel Hotel (booth 16).

PSItraffic/E-DMS, which has been successfully deployed at Hamburger Hochbahn, ensures that the vehicles are refueled or loaded and the drivers are dispatched in parallel operation of diesel and electric buses. The disposition is based on PSI's own, AI-based optimization software Qualicision, which determines solutions within seconds based on operational constraints.

PSItraffic/E-DMS constantly checks which vehicles in the depot are best suited for a block after which loading time. As a result, not all electric vehicles need to be charged simultaneously, permanently or completely. The preconditioning takes place in real time already in the depot at the beginning of the block.

The load and charge management forecasts and controls the total energy demand throughout the day, develops a sensible strategy for the existing charging infrastructure and monitors compliance with the charging power. The high-quality forecasts offer real business advantages and evidently support the processes in the company.

As part of the conference program, PSI will be represented in the Boulevard of Ideas with a presentation on E-DMS.

On the basis of its own software products, the PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for optimizing the flow of energy and material at suppliers (energy networks, energy trading, public passenger transport) and industry (raw material extraction, metal production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 1,900 persons worldwide.
