Rudolph Logistik Group plans, optimises and calculates logistics network with PSI

Berlin, 13 July 2016 – The Rudolph Logistik Group, an international logistics service provider with about 40 sites in Europe and the Near East, has contracted PSI Logistics GmbH with the implementation of PSIglobal and the tender management system from PSItms, as two parts of the PSI Logistics Suite.

With the rewarding of the contract in May, yet another renowned logistics service provider has selected the PSI Logistics analysis, planning and control system for the design and optimisation of its logistics networks. PSIglobal, with its scope of functionality, covers the complete set of tools required for analysis and optimisation of the Rudolph network. Coupling this with the tender management system from PSItms with PSIglobal, allows to tune bids exactly to the requirements of the request for tender and to coordinate them in a performance and cost-optimised manner with their own resources and the design of their own network. For the most part the planning processes are performed automatically. This provides for significant savings of time in the departments involved. Beyond that, the planning data in PSIglobal are placed in relation with the subsequently recorded actual data and further analysed so that the network is continuously optimised.

The Rudolph Logistik Group, headquartered in Baunatal, Germany, provides comprehensive logistics solutions from procurement logistics to order picking to the assumption of complete outsourcing projects. The primary fields of business are in the sectors automotive, consumer goods, industry logistics, fulfilment and general cargo. In connection with the assumption of outsourcing projects, the group is analysing the structures of existing customers and developing tailor-made solutions that are designed to meet the exact requirements. Corresponding analysis and optimisation functions are part of the standard scope of the PSIglobal, thereby sustainably supporting the business fields and processes of the service provider.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
