Module Sequencing
The sequencing module enables intelligent, balanced detailed planning for line production. The module helps companies to structure production orders efficiently, avoid bottlenecks, and ensure consistent capacity utilization.
Production orders are planned step by step with PSIpenta/MES Sequencing – from rough weekly allocation to the exact daily production sequence. Both planning specifications and current feedback from production are taken into account. The result is a balanced, realistic production sequence that can be adjusted at any time.
Multi-level planning, transparency, and integration
Sequencing begins with the automatic assignment of products to calendar weeks and days. Sequencing rules are already applied at this stage, for example to limit certain products per week in order to achieve an even workload. In a second step, a daily sequence of orders is created, also based on rules, for example taking into account minimum distances between certain product characteristics.
Current production feedback is continuously incorporated into the sequence update. Adjustments are made automatically and transparently, with the user being informed and able to intervene manually if necessary. In addition, the module offers comprehensive visualizations of the packages to be sequenced and the results. Calculated fields, filters, and sequencing rules can be prepared, reused, and flexibly combined. Close integration with the order management module and linking to production progress ensure consistent planning right through to order processing.
