Today, distribution grids are at the heart of the energy transition. With PSI’s innovative, modular PSIngo system, grid operators can navigate the complex challenges of grid transformation efficiently and securely.
One Platform for All Use Cases
Based on the high-performance PSIconnect platform, PSIngo transforms the low-voltage grid into an intelligent, highly automated system. The solution maps the entire value creation process in a single, intuitive interface—from data acquisition and grid transparency to complex analytics, automated grid control, switching management, and control tests.
The core functionality provides grid transparency and grid-supportive control in accordance with regulatory requirements under § 14a EnWG. Thanks to its flexible architecture, the scope of functions can be expanded modularly to include feed-in management, switching management, grid connection testing, and control tests.
Interoperable, Modular System Platform
- Grid Transparency: Comprehensive insights into grid topology, asymmetries, status, and utilization
- Grid Control: Fully automated grid regulation
- Centralized Data Management: A single platform that eliminates redundant data storage with existing PSI legacy systems
- Modular Design: Flexibly expand components based on your needs, including load forecasting, switching management, control tests, and more
- Cloud-Based or On-Premises: Secure operation either in the cloud or on-premises
Added value for grid operations
Whether as a functional, seamless addition to your existing PSI network control systems, PSIprins and PSIcontrol, or as an independent, standalone solution for the low-voltage grid, PSIngo integrates flexibly into your data center or, as a secure and scalable cloud service, into your existing IT infrastructure.
We guide you safely, step by step, through the digital transformation of your grid operations.
PSIngo is revolutionizing grid operation
Network transparency not only helps to eliminate disruptions, but also provides tools for long-term planning of the energy transition. The advantages are clear.
Benefits at a glance
-
Modern grid management Unite distributed grid data into a unified, complete, and computable grid model. Thanks to three-phase grid state estimation, you receive real-time insights and precise load forecasts. This allows you to identify and resolve bottlenecks before they occur.
-
Full Regulatory Compliance from a Single Source PSIngo is designed as a universal control platform. It combines the coordinated control of consumer loads (§ 14a EnWG), feed-in management for power generation facilities (§ 9 EEG), and the automated execution of control tests (§ 12 EnWG) within a single, consolidated user interface.
-
Maximum Interoperability & Uncompromising IT Security − On-Premises or in the Cloud Benefit from our future-proof PSIconnect platform, which natively supports all standard protocols (such as IEC 104, IEC 61850, MQTT, REST) and is operated either in certified German data centers (Frankfurt and Berlin) or directly on-premises. Certified according to ISO 27001, we guarantee maximum data security.
Features
-
Three-Phase Real-Time State Estimation Even in highly meshed, complex grids, two complementary calculation methods provide stable results in extremely fast calculation cycles within the single-digit-second range. The calculations are phase-selective and provide one-minute resolution.
-
Automated Flexibility and Congestion Management Highly flexible configuration options, such as limit values and hysteresis settings, can be used in intelligent, grid-area-specific algorithms for thousands of grid locations. These algorithms regulate loads and feed-in sources based on demand and in a grid-supportive manner, including applications under § 14a EnWG, § 9 EEG, and § 12 EnWG.
-
High-Availability Mass Data Management Using state-of-the-art event-streaming technology, such as Apache Kafka via PSIconnect, PSIngo processes high-frequency measurement data and alarms from substations or SMGWs on a second-by-second basis.
-
Automated Grid Connection Testing Through seamless integration with planning tools such as NEPLAN, PSIngo evaluates and approves grid connection requests for new generation sources or consumer loads fully automatically, without media disruption and in record time.
-
Complete System Integration Standardized adapters and a wide range of connectors enable, upon request, bidirectional data exchange with GIS, grid planning, ERP, CLS, and network control systems such as PSIcontrol, PSIprins, and NEPLAN.
Modules
Typical users
IT manager
An IT manager at a network operator is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the IT infrastructure required to operate the grid.
-
Decision-making support
PSIngo serves as an assistance system for network managers by processing relevant data and providing decision support.
-
Monitoring & reporting
Frontend monitoring and reporting are available at any time
-
Current status and decision-driven
