Globally consistent process control with system-guided warehouse strategy
Berlin, February 12, 2026 – PSI Software SE has been commissioned by the Würth Elektronik eiSos Group to implement the PSIwms Warehouse Management System at its US site in Watertown. The goal is to significantly increase the efficiency and futureproofing of warehouse processes through a standardized and system-guided warehouse strategy.
With this second international implementation project, Würth Elektronik is further expanding its cooperation with PSI and establishing an international WMS system standard. The PSIwms Warehouse Management System bundles Würth Elektronik's requirements in a central standard for the sites in Waldenburg, Lyon, and Watertown.
Based on the PSIwms Edition Flex, the software solution will be seamlessly integrated into the existing IT ecosystem as an on-premise installation. Specific, internationally standardized functionalities include, for example, 2D barcode handling, ESD processes, and re-reeling functions that are specially tailored to the electronics industry.
Until now, numerous processes at the Watertown site were dependent on workarounds and individual experience. With PSIwms, a fully system-guided warehouse strategy will be established, comprising clear roles and guided processes as well as traceable bookings.
The shelf and pallet storage, as well as the floor and goods receiving areas will be efficiently managed via PSIwms in the future. A total of around 20,000 storage locations for almost 7,000 active items are mapped in the system. On average, over 300 pick order lines are processed per day, with peaks of over 1,300.
The PSI Group develops software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities and industry. As an independent software producer with more than 2,300 employees, PSI has been a technology leader since 1969 for process control systems that ensure sustainable energy supply, production and logistics by combining AI methods with industrially proven optimization methods.
