CCC was founded in the 1990s and officially adopted its name in 1999. The CCC Group is one of the fastest-growing footwear companies in Europe:
- It has over 1,000 stationary footwear stores in Central Europe and approximately 90 e-commerce platforms in 28 countries.
- CCC owns the brands: CCC, eobuwie.pl, Modivo, DeeZee and HalfPrice.
- It has its own Logistics Center located in the Legnica Special Economic Zone in Polkowice (a modern, fully automated mini-load high-bay warehouse with a total area of 100,000 m²).
- The storage capacity of CCC SA reaches 23 million pairs of shoes.
Challenges
Modernization of the Distribution Center
The company's dynamic growth necessitated increased efficiency at the Distribution Center and the implementation of warehouse automation. A key step was replacing the existing WMS system with the modern PSIwms solution.
- Modernization of the WMS system – implementation of PSIwms within 9 months along with integration with other IT systems (e.g., ERP).
- Process automation – full integration with existing infrastructure: cardboard miniload, 3 sorters and conveyors.
- Express implementation – in 2021, it was necessary to launch PSIwms in a new warehouse in just 2 months to support the new sales channel.
Solution approach
Comprehensive modernization of logistics – implementation of PSIwms
To support the company's dynamic growth, the PSIwms system was implemented in several warehouses in Polkowice, supporting store deliveries and e-commerce. Additionally, a separate PSIwms system was launched, dedicated to off-price and e-commerce deliveries.
- Advanced integration – the system was connected to ERP, 15 courier companies, 3 VdL sorters and an automatic miniload cardboard warehouse.
- Warehouse Service Broker – a module ensuring smooth data exchange between the ERP system and two PSIwms servers.
Effects of project implementation
- Modernization of the WMS system in retail warehouses (M1, M2, M3) – full implementation within 12 months.
- Integration with 4 automation systems – 3 sorters and a miniload.
- Integration with the courier network – improved shipping management.
- Launch of HP retail warehouse – in just 2 months.
- HP e-commerce warehouse launch – in the next 2 months.
Uninterrupted warehouse operations – despite intensive operational changes, the implementation took place without disruption to ongoing operations.
