Predictive grid state forecasting for GLDPM and redispatch processes
Berlin, August 18, 2026 – PSI Software SE has received final acceptance of the SASO subproject from four E.ON grid companies as part of the eBase project. Based on PSIaso/DSO, Avacon Netz GmbH, Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, E.DIS Netz GmbH, and Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH will use the software solution in operations for predictive grid state forecasting.
This enables the four E.ON grid companies, among other things, to meet the requirements of the regulatory GLDPM (Generation and Load Data Provision Methodology) processes. In addition, PSI’s software provides significant support for the implementation of Redispatch 2.0 processes.
PSIsaso/DSO (Security Assessment & System Optimization) continuously collects grid models from the control system, along with schedule and forecast data, and uses this information to generate grid state forecasts. The calculated grid models are exchanged with the respective transmission system operators.
The eBase project provides a platform for grid analysis and grid management functions designed to modernize and standardize the operation of distribution grids.
E.ON and PSI are developing a unified grid control system for the participating E.ON grid companies in Germany. Based on PSI’s modular control system platform, the control systems of distribution grid operators will be gradually standardized by 2029.
The PSI Group develops software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities and industry. As an independent software producer with nearly 2,300 employees, PSI has been a technology leader since 1969 for process control systems that ensure sustainable energy supply, production and logistics by combining AI methods with industrially proven optimization methods. The innovative industry products can be operated on-premises or in the cloud.
