Berlin, July 31, 2024 - As part of a partnership, PSI GridConnect and SoftProject GmbH have developed an interface for automating the grid compatibility check. Distribution system operators can significantly improve their grid connection processes with the innovative integration of the SNAP grid connection platform and the PSIneplan software solution for grid connection applications.

To connect generation and consumption facilities such as charging stations, heat pumps or PV systems, operators must apply for a technical connection application. This is done with the local grid operator to ensure that the electricity grid can bear the additional load and that no disruptions are caused.

The new interface offers grid operators a fast, reliable and highly precise analysis of grid capacities for the increasing number of applications. By digitalizing the processes, manual processing is minimized to the grid connection. Efficient data management and automated checking procedures significantly accelerate the entire process from grid connection request to approval.

In combination with the distributed event streaming platform PSIconnect, the scalable solution ensures the optimal integration of new connections into the existing grid without jeopardizing grid stability.

The jointly developed interface combines the expertise of both companies in software development and low-voltage control and has already been launched to a broad specialist audience at the E-world 2024.
