Optimizing warehouse processes with Artificial Intelligence
Berlin, January 15, 2026 – Based on the trade fair motto “Empowering the future of Logistics with AI,” PSI Software SE will present its innovative solution portfolio at LogiMAT 2026 from March 24 to 26 in Stuttgart (booth D41, hall 4). In a showcase, further developments in the award-winning AI platform PSIwms AI will be shown, which is integrated as standard in the improved Software-as-a-Service solution PSIwms GO Retail.
Since winning the Best Product Award at LogiMAT 2025 in the “Software, Communication, IT” category, PSIwms AI has undergone extensive innovations, including the Batch AI module integrated into the PSIwms standard. This optimizes single-stage and two-stage picking strategies with rule- and AI-supported batch building. Thus, walking distances are reduced, picking performance is increased, and process costs are lowered. Moreover, standardization enables the new service to be used by a broad customer base.
How PSIwms AI can be built out into a central control tool in the warehouse in the future is demonstrated in an interactive showcase that highlights three key innovation components. These include a Business Assistant, an intelligent tool that answers user questions about inventory, orders, or processes based on current transaction data and significantly speeds up decision-making. Additionally, intelligent, AI-supported documentation provides context-related information, instructions, and examples directly in the workflow. In addition, a configuration assistant significantly speeds up the selection and setup of logistics processes.
Furthermore, the significantly enhanced PSIwms GO Retail, PSIwms' fast-available and cloud-based no-code edition, will be shown, which includes a comprehensive set of ready-made and optimized processes. This contains out-of-the-box variants suitable for warehouse requirements in the retail sector, which warehouse operators can use on a rule-based basis. Also, PSIwms GO covers a wide variety of warehouse structures and goods flows, such as returns, serial numbers, parts lists, and shipping processing, and supports all common carriers.
The portfolio is complemented by the software PSIglobal for analyzing and optimizing global procurement and distribution networks. It evaluates company-wide locations and transport flows, identifies efficiency potential and risks, and simulates scenarios. This enables reduced costs, increased service levels, and secure supply chains in the long term.
PSI also provides insights into additional solutions along the supply chain. The software PSIpenta/ERP and PSIpenta/MES supports industry-specific processes in discrete manufacturing and uses industrial AI for automated document processing or rapid deployment of company knowledge.
The PSI Group develops software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities and industry. As an independent software producer with more than 2,300 employees, PSI has been a technology leader since 1969 for process control systems that ensure sustainable energy supply, production and logistics by combining AI methods with industrially proven optimization methods. The innovative industry products can be operated on-premises or in the cloud.
