Industrial AI optimizes processes in production, logistics and energy

Berlin, February 25, 2026 – PSI Software SE will be presenting under the motto “Unlock your business potential with Industrial AI – Powered by PSI.” further developments in its software portfolio at Hannover Messe from April 20 to 24, 2026 (Hall 17, Booth G24). The focus will be on innovative AI-based applications for optimizing and controlling business processes in production and logistics as well as in further industrial applications.

PSI Software SE

AI methods and decision-making as well as optimization processes in PSI products have been already used by customers for nearly 30 years. At the Hannover Messe, PSI will present its new development that brings interaction with algorithms to a language-controlled level. This can be achieved by combining adaptive AI decision-making and optimization algorithms with generative AI (Gen-AI) in RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems.

For the manufacturing industry, PSI will showcase its cloud- and workflow-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which enables intelligent, balanced detailed planning for line production with AI-based functions in the Sequencing module.

Moreover, the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) will be presented with new functions for controlling and optimizing production processes. Highlights include AI-supported document capture and the online help system enhanced with generative AI, which offers appropriate recommendations for action when questions arise.

Additionally, Workflow-based mobile ERP and MES solutions, enabling dynamic process modeling and customizable user interfaces will also be on display.

Further developments of the Warehouse Management System will feature the Batch AI module integrated into the standard. The module optimizes single-stage and two-stage picking strategies with rule- and AI-supported batch formation.

For the metals sector, PSI will present a cloud-enabled, service-oriented production management solution that focuses on generative AI and features a “Model Context Protocol Interface” to the PSI Factory Model. The Chatbot Factory Model & Documentation serves as an intelligent bridge that combines direct database access to production data with in-depth knowledge from the system documentation for the first time.

Reach out for more details on the PSI focus page.

Complementing ERP and MES topics, PSI will also be represented at the VDMA booth in Hall 15, Booth D36. Case studies from the mechanical and plant engineering sector will illustrate how companies are mastering the transition from reactive planning to data-driven processes and optimizing their production capacities with AI-based functions.

The PSI Group develops software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities and industry. As an independent software producer with more than 2,300 employees, PSI has been a technology leader since 1969 for process control systems that ensure sustainable energy supply, production and logistics by combining AI methods with industrially proven optimization methods. The innovative industry products can be operated on-premises or in the cloud.
