WMS training is designed to help optimize warehouse operations over the long term. At the same time, learning requirements vary significantly. Teams have different levels of experience and learn at different speeds. Daily operations also often require deeper knowledge of specific warehouse processes or system functions.
The PSI Learning Portal addresses these requirements by complementing conventional training formats with on-demand e-learning courses with gamification content. Available to all PSI customers, the platform currently offers two courses: PSIwms User Training in English and PSIwms Discovery Showcase in German with English subtitles. Additional courses will be added over time, with future content available in both languages.
Classroom training remains an important part of onboarding and building a shared understanding of the system. The PSI Learning Portal complements these formats by providing practical, targeted support whenever specific questions arise.
The "Ready-to-Go" course for daily warehouse operations
The online training portfolio includes the practice-oriented e-learning course PSIwms User Training. The course provides the knowledge required for confident day-to-day use of PSIwms.
Across 13 chapters, users learn how the system supports common warehouse processes, from goods receipt and order management to inventory control. The course combines videos, interactive graphics, quizzes, and software simulations to support different learning styles and reinforce understanding.
Process visualizations provide a clear view of warehouse workflows, while integrated exercises allow users to apply what they have learned directly within the course. Software simulations recreate PSIwms processes step by step, enabling hands-on training without the need for a separate training system.
Detailed knowledge in short videos and software simulations
In addition to PSIwms User Training, the PSI Learning Portal offers the PSIwms Discovery Showcase. This format combines short explanatory videos and software simulations that introduce the WMS, explain the user interface, and illustrate logistics processes.
The content covers key operational areas, including the control center, goods receipt, picking, packing, and goods issue. For example, users can follow step-by-step demonstrations of multi-order picking, two-stage picking with sorting, and sorting into different transport units. In the goods receipt section, users learn how to receive and put away materials using PSIwms.
The concept is straightforward: short, focused learning units that users can select according to their individual needs.
WMS e-Learning courses on the PSI Learning Portal
In the future, PSIwms Modeling & Optimization will expand the e-learning portfolio alongside PSIwms User Training and PSIwms Discovery. The new module is aimed primarily at advanced users.
- PSIwms User Training
Provides the fundamental knowledge required for daily use of PSIwms and explains key warehouse processes step by step. - PSIwms Discovery Showcase
Offers short explanatory videos and software simulations that provide an introduction to the system and its core functions. - PSIwms Modeling & Optimization
Supports advanced users who want to configure and optimize PSIwms independently.
Mobile demo offers a glimpse into the future
At the LogiMAT 2026 trade fair, PSI demonstrated how e-learning for logistics and WMS training can become even more interactive through the PSIwms Mobile Demo.
Using a click-and-learn approach, visitors could work through sample goods receipt and picking processes exactly as they occur in warehouse operations. The demo was available both at operator terminals with PSI experts and on visitors' own smartphones via QR code.
The mobile demo remains available after the event and provides a practical introduction to PSIwms workflows in just a few minutes.
Conclusion: efficient microlearning for everyday work
Whether users are getting started with PSIwms, refreshing existing knowledge, or learning new processes, different situations require different forms of training.
PSI is therefore continuously expanding its e-learning portfolio to complement established classroom training. Through the PSI Learning Portal, users gain access to short, on-demand learning units that deliver relevant knowledge quickly, clearly, and when it is needed. This creates additional flexibility and enhances the overall learning experience for PSIwms users.
